Sabanci Climate Ventures Shares Its Strategic Vision at the GCVI Summit 2026

From March 24–26, our Sabanci Climate Ventures team was on the ground at GCVI Summit 2026 in Monterey, California, one of the world’s premier gatherings for the corporate venturing and innovation ecosystem. Our Managing Director, Murat Arcan, took part in the “Chain Reaction: Why Being a Corporate LP Sets Strategy in Motion” session on March 26, where he shared a clear message on the role of corporate venture capital: “As a CVC, if you cannot offer the entrepreneur more than just capital, if you cannot provide a tangible value proposition; you should not be at the table.”

Together with Murat Arcan, Swati Dasgupta, Sindhu Kotha, and Drew D’Alelio, our team followed the latest industry developments and engaged with international stakeholders across the corporate venture capital ecosystem.
Key highlights from this year’s GCVI Summit included the growing focus on measuring strategic returns, the shift from AI hype to real value creation, and the increasing importance of climate and energy technologies. The sessions also underlined how a more selective investment approach and deeper collaboration models are becoming the new norms within the ecosystem.
