On September 21, 2025, during New York Climate Week 2025, Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, Murat Arcan, Pengxin Dong, Alessa Sänger, and Sindhu Kotha represented our team at Sightline Climate’s SightLive2025 in New York.
SightLive2025 is an invite-only summit focused on shaping the narrative of the new age of power and opening the floor to discussions on the role of innovation in the global energy ecosystem.
Our Managing Director Murat Arcan joined the “Next-Gen Clean Firm: The Future of Nuclear and Geothermal” panel alongside leaders from Google, DCVC, and our portfolio company Fervo Energy.
The session explored the future of clean firm power and next-generation climate technologies, including when advanced geothermal and nuclear can scale, what challenges stand in the way of deployment, and why regional context is critical for scaling.
During the discussion, Arcan shared Sabanci Climate Ventures’ perspective on what long project timelines in geothermal and fusion mean for us as a CVC investor.
He also highlighted how strategics should approach sectors with long timelines and high capex, such as nuclear and geothermal. Our strategy starts with humility: acknowledging what we do not know and partnering with leading funds that underwrite deep tech timelines.
This helps us learn, time our moves effectively, and ultimately bring our scale as an energy developer when the moment is right.
For strategics, the time to step in with capital is not tomorrow; it is today.
