KOSPO Future Transition Academy Participants Visit Sabanci Renewables

As part of the KOSPO Future Transition Academy, a delegation from Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) visited Sabanci Renewables’ Austin office through a collaboration between Sabanci Renewables and The University of Texas Energy Institute.

The Future Transition Academy is a training program jointly operated by the Public Education Division and Global Learning Center of Korea Management Association Consultants (KMAC) for KOSPO, with a focus on workforce transition. The program is designed to support employees affected by the reduction of fossil fuel-based power generation in Korea and help them transition into future energy sectors.

During the visit, Mustafa Necip Polatcan shared insights into Sabanci Renewables and the energy market, while Atilla Akarsu introduced the development and investment stages of solar projects and power plants. The program concluded with a Q&A session, allowing participants to explore the topics in greater depth and exchange perspectives on renewable energy, the evolving energy landscape and the opportunities ahead.

The visit offered participants an opportunity to gain a closer look at renewable energy investments and the U.S. energy market, while creating a valuable setting for sharing experiences and perspectives on the ongoing energy transition.
