CGO of Sabanci Climate Technologies
Murat Oğuz Arcan serves as Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of Sabancı Climate Technologies, where he leads the development and execution of the company's long-term growth strategy across renewable energy and climate technology platforms by integrating corporate strategy, venture investing, and renewable energy platform expansion. He also serves as Managing Director of Sabancı Climate Ventures, where he leads the company's venture capital strategy and investments in breakthrough climate technologies. Since joining Sabancı Climate Technologies in 2023, Mr. Arcan has been responsible for identifying, investing in, and supporting innovative startups that accelerate the global energy transition and advance sustainable technologies, contributing to Sabancı Group's long-term climate and innovation strategy.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Arcan held several executive leadership positions within Kordsa, a Sabancı Group company, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's advanced materials and composites business globally. Between 2018 and 2023, he served as COO of the composites business, leading international operations, business development, and strategic growth initiatives across North America, Europe, and Türkiye. During his tenure, he strengthened Kordsa's position in high-performance composites and advanced manufacturing solutions serving the aerospace, mobility, construction, and industrial sectors.
Before joining Kordsa, Mr. Arcan built an extensive career spanning entrepreneurship, strategic consulting, and international business development. He co-founded several companies, including Hexagon Studio and Heksagon Global Enerji, where he focused on engineering, renewable energy, and innovation-driven business development. He also provided strategic advisory services to leading industrial organizations, including ERDEMİR and PERA EEMEA. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly nine years at TOFAŞ, holding leadership positions in strategic planning, international business, and contract management.
Mr. Arcan holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bilkent University and completed MBA at Koç University. He also studied at the University for Foreigners of Perugia in Italy. He is fluent in English and Turkish.
Mr. Arcan serves as a Board Observer for several innovative climate technology companies, including AiDash, Noon Energy, and 1Komma5°. He was recognized in the Global Corporate Venturing (GCV) Powerlist 100 as one of the world's top corporate venture capital leaders in both 2025 and 2026.
With nearly three decades of international leadership experience across venture capital, advanced materials, industrial innovation, renewable energy, and corporate strategy, Mr. Arcan is recognized for combining entrepreneurial vision with operational excellence. His expertise in identifying emerging technologies, scaling innovative businesses, and fostering strategic partnerships continues to support Sabancı Group's ambition to become a global leader in climate technologies and sustainable innovation.
